‘Inspiring leaders, teachers and practitioners to be the best they can be’
‘Engaging and Inspiring leaders and teachers as outstanding individuals’
This new programme has been designed by YMG Education for primary schools within local authorities. Its aim is to provide a quality subject leadership learning journey for a PE leader within a school and set up local collaborative learning communities of no more than 25 schools. Opportunities will be available for leaders to extend their middle leadership capability, receive appropriate training and be part of a local and national community of lead practitioners with whom they can work together to identify and share effective practice and principles.
Access to this programme is by invitation only, however if you wish to nominate a group of schools (minimum of 15), know more about the programme and its core professional learning offer please contact us.
The Department for Education’s White paper, The Importance of Teaching, introduces the designation of specialist leaders of education (SLEs) – excellent professionals in leadership positions that include subject specialism. This LTE programme will develop and enhance the capability of subject leaders in primary schools and support readiness for those leaders who wish to achieve the SLE status.
Subject leaders can make a significant contribution to school improvement and their leadership development is a critical factor in making a difference to inspiring young people, staff and wider community partnerships of a school.
We know that nothing matters more than assuring we provide the best possible opportunities for our children to be the best they can be and in order to do this we need to have the best leaders and teachers in our schools. To achieve this outcome effective collaboration with other schools, training, targeted support, appropriate guidance and a focus on personal leader- learning and teaching impact is critical. If we are to improve the quality of teaching and leadership of a subject by middle leaders, a quality assured professionally led school based programme with accreditation is needed to set the standards for development and future school led outstanding practice.
